Most of our fantasy miniatures come in two sizes, a smaller 32mm scale and a larger 75mm scale. Both are 3D printed to order in ABS-like resin in the UK. Which one you want depends on how you plan to use the figure.
32mm: made for the game table
The 32mm size suits standard tabletop play. It is the kind of size people use for D&D and Pathfinder on a battle map or a gridded mat, where you need a lot of figures on the table at once. It is also the more affordable option, so building a party or a group of monsters costs less.
75mm: made for display and painting
A 75mm figure is much larger, so there is more surface for detail. Painters often prefer it because faces, armour and weapons are easier to paint. It also looks impressive on a shelf, which suits hero characters, villains and collectors. It is less practical on a crowded battle map.
Which should you pick?
- Playing a campaign: 32mm.
- Painting for enjoyment or display: 75mm.
- A favourite character or boss: consider both, a small one for play and a large one for the shelf.
Some figures come in other scales, for example 46mm and 98mm, or 53mm and 102mm, so check the size options on each product page.
